About Us

The Fireweed Fiber Guild began from a class in spinning and the desire to continue the support and sharing of our love for the fiber arts.

We meet in  member's homes, so location may vary from month to month.  Please check our newsletter page and calendar for current happenings.

Our goal is to identify and support the production, processing and promotion of natural fibers from "Agriculture to Art". We are open to all individuals, we have no dues, we wish to encourage and assist other fiber producers and artists in all areas of their endeavors.

Our monthly meetings are usually focused on fiber arts, it is a social time to share, say hello, learn from each other and to be motivated by each other in our all our efforts. Come and share a cup of tea with us, bring your wheel or current project!

Calendar of Events

Craft Day in January!!

Knitty Stash is hosting a Craft Day in January!! It will be held in Ninilchik so we can have a chance to get to know our crafty neighbors in the middle. I thought it might be nice to give them a chance to stay closer to home and let us do the driving for a change!

We will be at the Ninilchik Senior Center on January 19th which is Martin Luther King Day so some of you may have the day off! I hope you will join us. 11 am to 5pm with a small fee of $5 to help with the hall rental. Knitty Stash will be providing some lunch foods and if you would like to bring some lunch snacks to share, that would be terrific!  Please DO bring your own cup, plate and cutlery to save on disposables as we are not renting the use of the center's kitchen. There will be some demonstrations and probably some surprises!

Car Pooling would be a great idea!! I hope to see lots of folks from Homer and Kenai/Soldotna. Give me a call if you have any questions.

Happy Stitching!  299-0601
